Neil is well-known in the college admissions consulting space. He runs his own WeChat Official Account, Zhizunbao and Sun Wukong, where he elaborates on what it takes to gain admission to a top US university. He excels at Socratic questioning and critical writing. His helpful and gentle personality well-suits him for admissions consulting. A person who sets high standards for himself, Neil has worked in the education industry in China for over ten years.

A co-founder of New Oriental and the current chief academic consultant at HEC, Mr. Bao has counseled students on overseas college application essays for over 20 years. Having majored in English at Peking University, Mr. Bao worked as a journalist and English editor at Xinhua News Agency. Mr. Bao holds MBA and Master’s degrees in Communications from top Canadian universities. In recent years, his students have gained admission to top universities such as Harvard and Yale.
Tsien Tian
HEC partner& Chief Executive Officer of HEC Beijing
Tsien went to the US at the age of 16, and completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley. She went on to complete a master’s degree at the University of Chicago. After graduating, she educated refugee children at the US-Mexican border and has worked in other international refugee camps, winning several prizes for her efforts. She once worked as a research assistant for James Heckman, a winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics, doing research on education. ¬In her spare time, she enjoys golfing, Thai boxing, and aviation.
Gideon

Gideon graduated from the University of Chicago with a 3.9 GPA, majoring in East Asian Civilizations & Languages and minoring in Anthropology. Gideon received full marks for his SAT and 10 different AP tests. Having lived in China for 10 years, he first taught at Tsinghua University, and has taught classes on standardardized tests such as the SAT, TOEFL, AP, IB, IELTS, A-Level, and GRE exams. His students have been admitted by top universities such as UCLA, University of Chicago, Columbia University, and the University of Pennsylvania.
Lisa

Graduated with a 4.0 GPA with a master’s degree in education, Lisa taught in American public and private high schools and Chinese public high schools. She is also a National Level III psychological counsellor and Career Planner. After 7 years of working experience in Chinese and American education, Lisa decided to dedicate herself to international education and help more students get into their dream schools. Her students got into Harvard, Columbia University, University of Chicago, Northwestern University and Cambridge University, etc.
